  I recently delivered a baby here at the hospital. Overall facilities were good. NICU nurses took care of my baby well and the feeding clinic was fantastic.

  Rang the buzzer one night because I needed help. No one came. Went outside...nurse station was empty. Lights off at the desk.

  I have high respect and gratitude towards nurses! What they do is great service, but some are just there for money.

  Less than average experience as a first time mother. A few mothers and myself showed up to the 'Bathing your newborn' class with all our babies. Hung around for 40min and no one showed up the class. We asked if someone was coming and a nurse said yes someone should be. No one came and we all left.

  Would like to say a big thank you to the staff at the Westmead Private hospital. My partner went in for day surgery and all i can say is the staff were outstanding. They treated my partner as a real human being which really put her at ease. The staff there were outstanding even the vollies at reception were outstanding. Thank you so much guys i can't thank you enough.

  One of the nurses named Elizabeth had horrific bed side manners. Being told I was "spoiling my baby" by picking him up because he kept crying. Being told to wash myself because she could "smell me" from where she was. The mother next door commented on her terrible bed side manners too.

  Great experience staff helpful just a great one night stay for me .. thanks to all from cleaning staff to nurses to Dr's 10/10 good work all ....

  However, there were no postpatrum care or what to expect and how to manage those issues were given to the mother. I struggled with urine and fecal incontinence, constipation that lasted for 13 days and really bad pain around the stitches. I had to google and get ideas how to manage these issues and then push nurses to help. Very disappointing!!

  The positive is the lactation room was great for first time mothers. The lactation nurses were great.

  Thanks so much to the staff at 2 west....particularly to the nurses who looked after me while I had the Gastric sleeve op....particularly...Sally and Anna...and the other 3 girls.You are amazing and you help with any questions I had.Love having a laugh.....you are all worth more money.....thanks again!...Karen Varsanis
